How can you take care of your business in the Mayor’s Office?

Natural persons can take care of their business via mail, electronic means (Ügyfélkapu) or in person.

Legal persons such as firms and organizations can pursue their business exclusively via electronic means (Cégkapu and e-papír).

If you would like to pick up a form in person, you can request it at the Information Point of the Mayor’s Office by the main entrance. If you need further assistance, you can also contact the relevant office on the spot without a prior appointment.

Registry services (anyakönyv)

You can submit the following documentation for the Registry Office every workday between 8.15 and 11am without a prior appointment at the  accessible entrance by the main door in Baross utca:

•    submission of records of birth for newborn babies by hospital messengers

•    reports of new deaths within the jurisdiction of the district

All other submissions are possible by making an appointment with the Registry services or by mail.

Requesting social assistance from the municipality

The Office of Family Support is located at Baross utca 66-68 (entrance from Németh utca) opposit the main building of the Mayor’s Office. You do not need to make a prior appointment to request social assistance. Please visit us during the following office hours:

Monday: 1.30pm - 6pm

Wednesday: 8.15pm – 4.30pm

Friday: 8.15am – 11.30am

In the waiting area of the Family Support Office, you have to keep a distance of 1.5 meters. Clients are assisted with a call system. The last line number can be requested 15 minutes before the end of office hours. There can be a maximum of 10 people in the waiting area.

Precautionary measures related to Covid-19

The use of the hand sanitizer provided by the entrance to the Mayor’s Office is mandatory.

Upon entry into the Office the guard performs a temperature check with a digital tool not requiring personal contact. In case of a temperature of 37,5C or more, the client is not allowed in the building and shall be denied entry.

Clients are obliged to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth upon entry into and inside the building. If the client does not have their own mask, they should notify the guard upon entry and the Office shall provide them with one free of charge.

If the client does not comply with the safety measures, they will not be allowed to enter.
