From the beginning of April 2021, automatic public toilets will be available in four locations in the district:

• Horváth Mihály tér
  • Fee: 10 HUF
  • Open: every day from 7 am to 11 pm
• Losonci tér
  • Charge: 10 forints
  • Open: every day between 7 am and 9 pm
• Mátyás tér
  • Fee: 10 forints
  • Open: every day from 7 am to 9 pm
• Déri Miksa utca
  • Fee: 10 HUF
  • Open: every day from 7 am to 11 pm

There are 3 traditional toilets in the district:

• Kálvária tér
  • Free
  • Open: every day between 7 am and 9 pm
• II. János Pál pápa tér
  • Free
  • Open: every day from 7 am to 9 pm
• Déri Miksa utca playground
  • Free
  • Open: every day from 7 am to 9 pm

We have also set up five mobile toilets, open 0-24 hours and free of charge.

• Koltói Anna tér (corner of Magdolna utca and Fiumei út)
• Teleki tér (near the entrance)
• Muzsikus Cigányok Parkja
• Kalvária tér and Dankó utca corner
• Népszínház utca and Bacsó Béla utca corner

The Budapest Sewage Works has the following public toilets in the district:

• Nagyvárad tér underpass (HUF 250)
• Baha Lujza tér (HUF 250 Ft)

Other public toilets in the district:

• Orczy Park from 6 am to 8 pm (free of charge).

Rules for maintaining public toilets run by the Municipality of Józsefváros

Cleaning and maintenance tasks are carried out on an ongoing basis by a dedicated team.

The toilets are disinfected daily by our staff and supplied with toilet paper and hand towels.

Information leaflets have been placed at the mobile toilets for their use.

We thank all the district residents for their feedback on the location of the toilets: the municipality will locate the mobile toilets according to feedback and technical conditions.
