The successful tender of the Municipality of Józsefváros continues! You can not only purchase a bicycle and any humanpowered micromobility device (e.g. scooter), but also spend this financial support on equipments that support safe transport or maintenance. The total amount available is HUF 2 million.
What is the aim of the proposal?
The aim of the tender is to promote environmentally friendly and environmentally conscious transport among young people in Józsefváros.
What kind of support can you apply for?
1. You can apply for a grant of up to HUF 75,000 for the purchase of a bicycle or other micromobility device (e.g. scooter).
2. You can apply for a grant of up to HUF 25,000 to buy an accessory for a bicycle or other micromobility device (e.g. scooter).
Both applications can be submitted at the same time.
You cannot apply for grants for electrical equipment and clothing under this application.
Who can apply?
students aged between 14 and 26 who have been continuously resident in the district for at least 6 months and are active full-time pupils or students at a primary, secondary or higher education institution

Deadline for submission of applications: 15 May 2025.
How can you apply?
- The application form (at the end of this news) must be filled in.
- The completed form and the required attachments must be sent to the Municipal Property Management Department by one of the following methods:
- hand-delivered to the Customer Service and Application Office of the Social Relations Department of the Mayor’s Office of Józsefváros (1082 Budapest, Baross u. 66-68. ) by ‘Bicycle tender 2025’
- To be sent by mail to the Customer Service and Application Office of the Social Relations Department of the Mayor’s Office of Józsefváros (1082 Budapest, Baross u. 66-68.) as ‘Bicycle tender 2025’
- It can also be submitted electronically via the Office/Government Portal at https://epapir.gov.hu, with the subject line “Kerékpár pályázat 2025”. If you submit your application electronically, please upload documents with a “pdf” extension.
What mandatory documents must be submitted?
- a copy of a valid identity card,
- a copy of a valid official certificate of residence (address card),
- a valid student card or student status certificate with the stamp of the educational institution
What are the other conditions?
In the case of a positive decision, the payment of the grant will also be subject to the condition that, following notification, the applicant attends free theoretical training in road traffic, practical training in urban traffic and theoretical and practical training in first aid, as determined by the municipality (the training will be organised on a weekend; one additional training session will be organised on a weekend).
