The 2025 voting for Participatory budgeting begins in Józsefváros in 4 days!

From September 1 to October 15, the residents of Józsefváros will be able to decide on the allocation of 200 million forints! Vote for your favorite idea!

This year, we received a record number of 491 ideas, from which a group consisting of local residents selected the best 40. Now you can help choose which ideas will be realized in the district! 

How can you cast your vote?

• In person:

From September 1, all Józsefváros residents over the age of 16 can cast their vote in person at the Customer Service Office of the Józsefváros Municipality’s Mayor’s Office (1082 Budapest, Baross utca 63-67) or at Dankó udvar (1086 Budapest, Dankó utca 18.). 

The Customer Service Office of the Mayor’s Office is open at the following times: 

Monday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Dankó Courtyard is open at the following times:

• Online:

From September 1, once voting has started, you can also vote for your favorite idea online.

Who can vote? 

All residents of Józsefváros over the age of 16 can cast their vote on the Participatory Budget!

How does the voting work?

The available 200 million forints will be divided into four parts as follows: we have divided the district into three zones, and ideas for the entire district are listed separately.

Ten ideas have been included on the ballot for each district.

If you are a resident of Józsefváros over the age of 16, you have a total of 7 votes in the Józsefváros Participatory Budget vote.

You have 3 votes in your own district. You can view the districts on the map below. 

You can vote for 2 ideas that apply to the entire district. 

In the other two districts, you can choose 1 idea each.

There are only 4 days left and you can vote on the allocation of 200 million forints in the Józsefváros participatory budget!
