On Friday, November 14, between 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., there will be a free men’s screening day at the Szent Kozma Health Center in Józsefváros.
On Screening Day, we offer free screening for the prevention of diseases that pose serious public health risks (such as diabetes, prostate cancer, skin cancer, etc.) to men between the ages of 25 and 65 in Józsefváros who have not yet participated in such screening tests.
After the tests, participants will receive a summary evaluation and risk classification, on the basis of which any necessary treatments or tests can be initiated.
The screening does not replace a specialist examination, as no therapy will be prescribed. However, it may draw attention to the need for other tests or treatments.
Where will the event take place?
At the Szent Kozma Health Center in Józsefváros (Budapest, Auróra utca 22-28.).

Why is urological screening important?
Prostate cancer is one of the most common causes of cancer death among men.
If the disease is detected early, there is a 98% chance that a prostate cancer patient will still be alive in 10 years, but if diagnosis is delayed, the 5-year survival rate is only 30%.
The peak age for prostate cancer is between 66 and 70, but in general, it is recommended to start screening at the age of 45-50 and repeat it annually.
The screening process:
There are traditionally two tests for prostate cancer screening. The first is the determination of a tumor marker called PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen), which is taken from the blood.
The other test is a digital rectal examination of the prostate.
What is cardiometabolic syndrome?
Cardiometabolic syndrome is the collective name for cardiovascular and diabetic conditions that are easy to diagnose even in their early stages. At this stage, even without medication, lifestyle changes can prevent future heart attacks, strokes, or diabetes.
What tests are performed during cardiometabolic screening?
- Fingerstick blood sugar test, for which you do not need to arrive on an empty stomach
- Body weight and height measurement, from which BMI is calculated
- Waist circumference measurement
- Body composition (In Body) measurement
- Blood pressure measurement
- Ankle-brachial index measurement
What happens after the tests?
Based on the results of the tests, the doctor will determine the risks associated with cardiological or diabetological diseases and, based on this, will make a classification, which may be one of the following:
- Healthy
- Changes have appeared that can be improved by lifestyle changes.
- The doctor diagnoses a disease and refers the patient to a specialist.
Sign up for screenings and prevent serious diseases!
