Many people live and work in Józsefváros who do not speak Hungarian, which is why it is especially important for the Municipality of Józsefváros to provide accessible, clear, and up-to-date information for them as well.
Our booklet titled “All about Józsefváros in English – Useful information for English-speaking residents of the 8th district” was first published in 2024. Since then, information in several areas has changed, making an update necessary.
By September 2025, we completed the updated version, and following our English-language forum, we provided an opportunity for those concerned to share feedback, experiences, and indicate which information was missing or needed clarification. These suggestions were directly incorporated into the updated guide.
During the revision, we refined the content, added the most frequently requested information, and aimed for a clearer, more user-friendly structure. Our goal was to ensure that the English-language guide offers practical help for everyday administration and navigating the district.
