In 2024, the Kesztyűgyár Community House in Józsefváros will continue to organise summer day camps for primary school children living or studying in Józsefváros.
From July 1 to August 23, 2024, the camp will run for eight weeks in weekly sessions from Monday to Friday.
According to the Inner-Pest School District Centre, during the first and last week of the summer holidays, primary schools will be on-call for their own students.
On weekdays, the programmes run from 8 am to 4 pm.
We are on-call between 7 and 8 am and between 4 and 5 pm.
It is possible to apply for more than one session.
We can accommodate primary school children aged 7-14 living or studying in Józsefváros, as well as children of employees of municipal institutions in Józsefváros.
Attention, the location of the camp has changed this year!
- Weeks 1-4 (July 1-26): Vajda Péter Ének-zenei Általános és Sportiskola (elementary school) Vajda Péter u. 25-31, 1089 Budapest.
- Weeks 5-8 (29 July – 23 August): Losonci Téri Losonci Téri Általános Iskola (elementary school), 1083 Budapest, Losonci tér
The cost of the camp for the parents is the payment of a meal fee of 1300 HUF/day (breakfast, lunch, snack). If the child receives a reduced or free meal at school, the same discount is granted at the camp.
The application form and detailed information for parents can be found below in the form available for download and on the Kesztyűgyár website, and can also be picked up in person at Kesztyűgyár (Mátyás tér 15.) every weekday between 9 and 18 hours.

There are also briefing sessions for parents to discuss the details with the camp staff.
Expected date of the first meeting: 1 week before the first session. The exact date will be announced and families will be notified at a later date.
