Please be informed that the Józsefváros Mayor’s Office will be closed for an administrative break between July 21 and August 1, 2025.
The first day of client services after the break will be Monday, August 4.
During the administrative break, the Mayor’s Office will not be providing in-person client services.
However, for general inquiries, a phone helpline will be available on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM via our toll-free number: 06 80 277 256.
Registry Office
For urgent matters:
Documents may be submitted or collected Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the office located at 63–67 Baross Street, Ground Floor, Room 5, in the following cases:
- Hospital couriers delivering birth registration records of newborns,
- Funeral service providers or relatives reporting deaths that occurred within the 8th district
Emergency phone line for vital records matters is available Monday to Thursday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM at 06 1 459 2105.
For disaster management purposes:
In case of emergencies such as a public safety threat, accident, natural disaster, life-threatening situation, or serious damage within the Mayor’s Office’s area of operation, the Public Safety Officer is responsible for organizing and coordinating disaster management tasks.
