The renovation of Horánszky utca will start on 17 July 2024. In recent years, the street has been in need of repaving on several occasions. These localised renovations have shown that in order for the decorative paving of Horánszky Street to be durable and safe, the entire street surface needs to be replaced.

What will happen?

On 17 July 2024, the contractor will start the work. To create a new, more durable surface, it will first be necessary to remove the existing pavement along the entire length of Horánszky utca. The contractor will then start laying the new pavement on Krúdy Street. The base of the new surface will provide better drainage of rainwater and in the long term the laid paving will be more stable.

What about traffic on the street?

Horánszky utca will be closed for the duration of the works, but residents, restaurants and shops will be able to access the street by car throughout the works. Parking will therefore not be allowed on the street during the renovation.

How long will the renovation take?

The renovation will start on 17 July 2024 and is expected to be completed in a week and a half. Based on current plans, the street will be open to traffic on 29 July 2024. However, these dates are subject to weather and possible construction obstacles. For example, if it rains, the completion of the works may be delayed.
