We are pleased to share with you an invitation to a unique Forum Theatre performance, created by a group of young refugees and Hungarian youth brought together by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee. The event is organized in cooperation with the Municipality of Józsefváros and will take place here in the district.
The performance will be held in English, and everyone is warmly welcome to join.
What is Forum Theatre?
Forum Theatre is an interactive and engaging theatrical method that presents everyday social challenges on stage. After watching the scenes, audience members are invited to step into the story, try out different solutions, and explore how difficult situations could be handled in more empowering ways.
It is a creative way to reflect on issues that many foreigners in Hungary may experience in their daily lives.
What will the performance be about?
The young participants selected two important topics based on their own experiences:
- difficulties in accessing housing, and
- experiences of xenophobia.
Through realistic scenes, the performance encourages dialogue, understanding, and shared problem-solving.
When and where?
- Performance: December 10, 2025. 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Location: Internép Café – 1081 Budapest, Népszínház utca 26.
