On 4 October, 2021 we celebrate World Animal Day, and in honor of this day, the Mayor’s Office of the Municipality of Józsefváros, located in Baross Street, will also become dog-friendly. From now on, we welcome dogs of our employees and clients!
The introduction of the dog-friendly municipality, on the professional suggestion of kutyabarat.hu, was preceded by an extensive survey among the staff of the Office, in which the Office of Community Participation asked the staff in a questionnaire for their opinion on what they think of the building becoming dog-friendly and under what conditions they would like to see this happen. The feedback showed that the vast majority of staff were happy or accepting of a dog-friendly municipality. The staff’s needs were taken into account as much as possible in the development of the dog policy and house rules to ensure that this innovation does not inconvenience anyone.
Employees of the municipality may bring their pets with them if it is acceptable to their direct colleagues. Dogs brought in by clients are subject to the following house rules, which is also posted in a prominent place at the entrance to the building.

Did you know? As a resident of Józsefváros, you can receive 100 free dog waste bags per month as a dog owner of the district by presenting your address card. The collection point is the Information Point on Kálvária Square (brown wooden house), every day between 07.00-09.00, 12.00-14.00 and 17.00-19.00.
