Dear Clients,
the Municipality of Budapest will implement a transparent, unified parking system consisting of 4 types of zones instead of the current one–which is complicated and unclear as it has 27 different parking zones.
3 of the 4 types of zones (A, B and C) will affect Józsefváros as well. The objective of the unified system is to provide car users with an easy-to-understand zone system. The new system will also include a renewed information system. The new parking fees, which are in line with the new zone system, are designed to encourage a faster turnover of cars in public parking spaces and thus better use of parking spaces.
Nota bene: The proposed amendment does not affect car owners with a residential parking permit in the district, but only those who are visiting and parking their car here.
Based on the changes of the Decree of the General Assembly of Budapest (30/2010 (VI.4)) on the unified implementation of the vehicle parking regime, the parking fee and the regulation of the storage of out-of-service vehicles, which comes into effect on September 5, September, 2022, the amount of parking fees and surcharges to be paid and the maximum waiting time will change in Józsefváros as follows:
A zone: 600 Ft/hour 8 am–10 pm (maximum waiting time: 3 hours)

B zone: 450 Ft/hour 8 am–8 pm (maximum waiting time: 3 hours)

On the roads, streets and squares bordering each zone, the higher tariff zone is charged.

MOBILE PHONE NUMBER ENDING ZONES
In connection with the changes, the so-called “mobile phone number ending zones”, i.e. the numbers on the parking machine that can be used for parking, will change, so please pay attention to this and check that the correct number is used for parking.
