Since March 1, 2026, English and Russian interpreting services have been available at the Mayor’s Office of Józsefváros to assist foreign residents with administrative matters.
The interpreter can provide assistance with tax matters, civil registry procedures, or other administrative matters if difficulties arise due to a language barrier.
The service is currently available in English and Russian. We hope this will make administrative procedures easier for foreign residents.

How To Use the Interpreting Services
On our website, you can find out which office handles your matters (Contact us: https://jozsefvaros.hu/go/contactus).
- Make an appointment and mark your request for an interpreter!
If you make an appointment within our online system, you can directly mark your request for English or Russian interpreting.
It is important to note that the interpreter’s availability depends on capacity. Thus, we will respond to your request within two business days via the email address you provided.
If you find that you cannot show up to your appointment, please cancel the reservation, or let us know, so that the slot can be freed up for others.
- If you show up to the Office within customer service hours, our staff can call for the interpreter’s assistance if needed.
