During periods of extreme summer heat, ensuring access to drinking water for everyone is particularly important. Therefore, in response to the heatwave alert, the Municipality of Józsefváros and its institutions are making fresh drinking water available to the public at numerous locations across the district. Anyone may enter these facilities and request drinking water free of charge. Refreshment points, including participating institutions and public drinking fountains, are identified by posters and stickers.
Good to know:
- Institutions that provide free and fresh drinking water are marked with a unified poster. If you see one of these locations, feel free to step inside and ask for refreshment.
- Depending on available capacity, participating locations may also be able to provide a glass cup. However, bringing your own reusable water bottle is always encouraged. Our goal is to make fresh drinking water freely available at as many locations as possible while reducing the use of single-use plastic bottles.
- In addition to participating institutions, numerous public drinking fountains operate throughout the district, where you can also refill your water bottle. These are marked with stickers.
