In 1987, the United Nations (UN) declared June 26 as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. This year the topic of the event is “World drug problem: persisting issues, new challenges, innovative responses.”
To mark this global day, the Municipality of Józsefváros is hosting a film screening combined with a roundtable discussion this year. The goal of the programme is to discuss—based on the issues raised by the film “KIX”—the situation young people are in, ways to prevent substance abuse, the role of community support, and the steps taken by municipalities and civil society organisations to provide assistance and promote prevention.
When? June 30, 2026, 6:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
