The Municipality of Józsefváros, in cooperation with the Cycling Club, will organizes six cycling tours in August and September 2021 for people 1) who like riding a bike but have not yet dared to try it in the streets of Budapest and 2) who already cycle in the city but would like to gain more routines on more difficult routes.
Let’s cycle together in Józsefváros! Please bring your own bike or let us know if you need help. Children are also welcome on the tours.
DATES IN AUGUST (for beginner and intermediate cyclists):

Meeting point: Horváth Mihály tér, under ’The Lamp’
Horváth Mihály tér – Baross utca – Kálvin tér – Múzeum utca – Bródy Sándor utca – Rákóczi tér/the opened Bacsó Béla utca – Mátyás tér – Kálvária tér – Orczy-kert – Teleki László tér – II. János Pál pápa tér (approx. 10 km)

After the great success of City Cycling Tours by the Hungarian Cycling Club last year, this year we will cycle in the streets of Józsefváros following a new route with a qualified leader touching almost all larger squares.
The events are free but subject to registration.
The maximum number of participants is 20/25.
ROUTE OF TOURS IN SEPTEMBER (for advanced and experienced cyclists):
Meeting point: Rákóczi tér/Bacsó Béla utca
The opened Bacsó Béla utca – Nagykörút – Rákóczi út – II. János Pál pápa tér – Déri Miksa utca – Baross utca – Üllői út – Korányi Frigyes utca – Orczy út – Szeszgyár (approx. 9 km)
This program crosses more difficult routes by bike in Józsefváros and is intended for people who have already participated in City Cycling or ride their bike bike regularly in the city. We will take a route leading through roads like Rákóczi út, Üllői út and Orczy út. A qualified trainer will explain the techniques of proper and safe lane change, by-passing and turning.
The program is free but subject to registration.
The maximum number of participants is 20/25.
