Rap festival at the 15th anniversary of Kesztyűgyár – Applications for the rap competition are now open
The Kesztyűgyár Community Center is celebrating its 15th birthday, and as part of the celebrations we are inviting everyone to a Rap Festival.
On Friday, 22 September, young people from Józsefváros can compete in a rap competition.
There will be two categories: under-18s and over-18s will be judged separately by a jury.
On the following day, 23 September, participants will be able to enjoy rap concerts by well-known artists, the list of performers to be announced later.
Registration for the rap contest
Date of the competition: Friday 22, September 2023, 17:00
Location: Mátyás tér 15, Kesztyűgyár Community House
Registration deadline: 8 September 2023, midnight
To apply, please fill in the application form and send in a video of maximum 4 minutes, in which you can introduce yourself and give a taste of your knowledge with a short song.
Submitted productions will be assessed by a professional jury.
A shortlist of up to 40 participants will then be selected to go forward and demonstrate their skills live on 22 September.
Competitors’ performances must not exceed 5 minutes – the organisers ask that all performers take this into account.
Parents of contestants under the age of 18 must fill in a consent form, which can be scanned and sent to rendezveny@jkn.hu.
Prizes
The first three winners will receive valuable prizes and the ones selected by the jury will have the chance to prove themselves at the Rapfest the following day.
Prizes in both age categories:
- 1st place: video clip filming worth HUF 250,000
- 1st place: studio recording worth HUF 150,000
- 1st place: a gift voucher worth HUF 50,000
