Józsefváros Municipality’s highly successful tender continues! In this year, you can apply not only for a bicycle, but also for any human-powered micromobility device (e.g. scooter) and related equipment to support safe transport or maintenance. The total amount available is 2 million HUF.
What is the aim of the competition?
The aim of the competition is to promote enviromentally friendly and enviromentally conscious transport among young people in Józsefváros.
What kind of support can you apply for?
- You can apply for a grant of up to 75.000 HUF for the purchase of a bicycle or other micromobility device (e.g. scooter).
- You can apply for a grant of up to 25.000 HUF to buy an accessory for a bicycle or other micromobility device (e.g. scooter).
You can apply for both at the same time.
You cannot apply for support for electrical equipment in the same call.
Who can apply?
Students aged between 14 and 26 years of age who have been continuously resident in the district for at least 6 months and those who are active full-time students at secondary school or higher education institution.
How long can you apply?
The deadline for applications is 30 April 2024.
How to apply?
- Fill in the application form (at the end of the news page).
- The completed application form and the required annexes must be sent to the District Management Department by one of the following methods:
- Deliver it in person to the District Management Department at the Mayor’s Office of Józsefváros (Budapest, Baross utca 63-67.), during the opening hours of the office, marked „Bicycle Application 2024”.
- Send it by post to the address „Bicycle tender 2024”: Budapest Capital VIII. district Mayor’s Office District Management Department (1082 Budapest, Baross utca 63-67. III. floor 311.)
- To be sent to zoldpalyazat@jozsefvaros.hu in an electronically authenticated way.
Which mandatory annexes must be submitted?
- a copy of a valid identity card,
- a copy of a valid official certificate of address (address card),
- valid student ID or student status certificate with stamp of the educational institution.
What other conditions are there?
In case of positive decision, the grant is conditional on the succesful applicant succesfully completing free theoretical and practical training in road traffic theory, urban traffic practice and first aid , as defined by the municipality.
