Attention: the deadline for submitting ideas for the participatory budgeting is approaching, 10 February – have you already submitted your idea?

The deadline is approaching; we want to hear your ideas, too! This year, the community is deciding on the fate of HUF 180 million. Take your chance!

Tell us what developments, programmes, and initiatives would make Józsefváros a better place.

The idea submission phase of the 2024 participatory budgeting of Józsefváros started on 1 January and will run until 10 February.

Ideas can also be submitted online at reszvetel.jozsefvaros.hu and in person at the Participation Points, such as the Customer Service of the Mayor’s Office.

We also helped to foster collective thinking by organising brainstorming workshops – a total of four times at Premier Kultcafé, TÖE-ház, Kastner Kommunity, and Stereo Művház.

What happens to the ideas after submission?

The staff of the Józsefváros Municipality will examine all proposals received to determine whether they are legally and practically feasible.

The ideas are then discussed by a working group of district residents.

They compile the list of ideas, which will ultimately be voted on by the people of Józsefváros.

Another important date: If you would like to be part of the working group and help select and finalise ideas, we welcome you! The deadline for the application is 10 February. For more information and application details, click here.

When and how will you be able to vote?

Voting will be open from 1 April to 20 April 2024, both online and in person.

All residents of Józsefváros over the age of 16 can vote.

You will have five votes in total. Two of these can be used in your own zone, and one each for the other two zones and the district as a whole.
