In this grant program, young people between 14 and 26 years old can apply for support for the purchase of a bicycle and for the purchase of equipment to supplement safe cycling or for maintenance.

Applications are invited from students aged between 14 and 26 who have been continuously resident in the district for at least 6 months and are active full-time students at a secondary or higher education institution.

Applications are open for grants of up to HUF 75,000 for the purchase of bicycles and up to HUF 25,000 for the purchase of cycling equipment. The total amount available is HUF 2 million.

In the case of a positive decision, the grant is conditional on the successful applicant successfully completing free theoretical road traffic training, practical urban traffic training and theoretical and practical first aid training courses, as defined by the municipality.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 30 April 2023.

If the budget is not exhausted in the first round, the deadline for the second round is August 31, 2023.

To be valid, applications must be accompanied by a completed application form and its annexes and signed by the person entitled to do so.

– Applications must be sent to the District Management Department of the Mayor’s Office of Józsefváros / Józsefvárosi Polgármesteri Hivatal Kerületgazdálkodási Ügyosztály (1082 Budapest, Baross u 63-67. III. floor 311.) in person or by mail to the address “Bicycle tender 2023” or

– electronically certified, using the application form duly completed and sent to the e-mail address zoldpalyazat@jozsefvaros.hu.
