Dear Józsefváros residents!
We would like to inform you that the Mayor’s Office of the Municipality of Józsefváros will be closed between 23 December 2024 and 1 January 2024.

For the other offices of the Mayor’s Office, the first opening day is January 6, 2025.
Registration Office
It is possible to hand over and pick up documents at the office at Baross utca 63-67, ground floor 5, on 23 December 2024 (Monday) and 30-31 December 2024 (Monday-Tuesday) from 8:15 to 10:00 am. for clients arriving for the following cases:
- for the notification of new deaths within the jurisdiction of the 8th district: funeral service providers, relatives;
- customers arriving to receive completed documents at an appointment with the registrar.

Standby ordered for the fulfilment of disaster management tasks
In the event of an emergency, accident, natural disaster, loss of life or serious damage occurring within the scope of the Office’s activities, the public safety officer shall organise and coordinate the performance of disaster prevention duties.
Department of Public Safety
The Public Safety Department’s free green number, open 0-24 hours, is 06 80 204-618, except on the following days:
Tuesday 24 December after 4 pm.
Wednesday 25 December after 8 pm.
Thursday 26 December after 8 pm.
