Canvases of the Future – Exhibition in the Mayor’s Office in Józsefváros

Last updated: (Létrehozva: )

The Hungarian Association of Migrant Women (She 4 She) and the Hungarian Helsinki Committee are organising an exhibition of artworks by refugees and migrants in the building of the Mayor’s Office of the Józsefváros Municipality from 2 September to 15 October 2021.

The purpose of the exhibition is to bring Municipality employees, Józsefváros residents and other interested parties closer to the experiences of refugees and migrants.

The exhibition can be visited in group guided tours on 17 September, 1 October and 15 October, when visitors can also meet the four main artists. The meeting is an opportunity for the artists to have a personal feeling of the interest of the population in their paintings. They can also share their experiences and lives defining their artistic work. Visitors can talk to and ask questions from the refugee and migrant artists.

Participation at the guided tours is subject to registration. If you are interested in taking part at a guided tour, please, complete this registration form: https://forms.gle/Qbnq33LyDedLPzHm9

Due to limitation on numbers (maximum 35 people/tour), completion of the registration form does not mean you will automatically be participating at a guided tour. All applicants will be informed not later than 48 hours before the guided tour if they could be included.

Guided tours are not open for the press. If you wish to visit the exhibition as a representative of the press, please, write to this e-mail: press@helsinki.hu
